What rakeback is
Every bet has a house take built in. Rakeback gives you a cut of that take. You still lose the edge over time. You get some of it back so you stay.

How the number is counted
A banner that says 20 percent does not mean 20 percent of every wager lands in your wallet. On most crypto casinos the percent is applied to the house portion of eligible play, not to the full stake.

Instant, daily, weekly
Instant means a balance tick while you play, or a claim button that unlocks every few minutes. Daily and weekly mean a pot that sits until the window closes. Instant is easier to see. Weekly is easier to forget, and easier for the site to attach extra rules to.

Rakeback versus cashback
Rakeback usually pays on eligible wagers whether that session ended up or down. Cashback usually pays on net loss over a window. A winning week can still earn rakeback. A winning week often earns no cashback.
Some brands run both. Read the two tiles separately. Do not add the headline percentages together and call that your return.
VIP is a ladder, not a prize
The rate you see on day one is the floor. Higher tiers raise the cut. They also ask for more turnover. Chasing a tier so you can “get the rakeback” is how people raise stakes to feed a meter.

What to check before you care
- Is it instant, daily or weekly?
- Do you have to claim it?
- Does it withdraw, or does it sit behind wagering?
- Which games count, and at what percent?
- Is there a cap per day or per week?

Does rakeback remove the house edge?
