How a Max Bet Works During a Bonus

A bonus can die on one oversized spin. The cap is in the T&Cs. Find it before you raise the stake.

What a max bet bonus rule is

A max bet bonus rule caps the stake you can place while bonus money is still locked. Go over it and the casino can void the bonus, the win, or both.

The number is not the same as the max bet on the slot itself. The game may let you stake $100. The bonus may cap you at $5. The game will still take the $100. The bonus ledger is what dies later.

Some terms print a flat figure. Some print a percent of the bonus. Some print a different cap on originals than on slots. The line on the offer you clicked is the only number that matters.

Where it sits

In the bonus T&Cs. Look for max bet, maximum stake, maximum wager, or “while the bonus is active.” It can be a cash figure or a fixed spin value on free spins.

What counts as the stake

The cap is on the round, not on the coin size you tapped.

• Total stake on the slot, including extra lines and ante. A $4 spin plus a 25 percent ante is not a $4 spin.
• A bonus-buy or feature-buy. If the buy is $80 and the cap is $5, that click is already over. A lot of terms ban the buy while the bonus is on anyway.
• A Crash, Dice, Mines, Plinko or Limbo bet. The size you typed is the stake. Auto cash-out is not a second cap. It is still that same bet.
• A table side bet. Main bet under the cap plus a side bet over it is still over.

What they can do if you go over

Void that round. Void the whole bonus. Keep the deposit and drop the extra. Ask for KYC and then void anyway.

Some cashiers block the spin when you go over. That is the kind version. Some let the spin through, let you keep playing, and only quote the clause when you request a withdrawal. Do not treat a quiet cashier as a pass.

How people go over without meaning to

1. They tap the game’s own Max Bet button. That button follows the slot, not the bonus.
2. Autoplay keeps an old stake after they switched games, or the slot resets the stake after a feature.
3. They raise Crash after a miss because the last round “felt cheap.”
4. They buy the feature on a slot they already had open.
5. They think the cap died after one winning spin. It lasts until the bonus is cleared or forfeited.

A quick check

1. Find the cap in the live T&Cs, not the banner.
2. Set the game stake at or under that number before the first spin. Leave a gap. If the cap is $5, $4 is safer than $5.00 on a sticky slider.
3. Turn autoplay off until you have watched one manual round at that stake.
4. Do not open a buy-feature title unless the terms name it as allowed.
5. Check originals and live on the contribution table as well as the stake cap.
6. If the cap is missing, skip the offer.

FAQ

Does the cap apply to my deposit too?

While the bonus is active, yes on most sites. After you forfeit or clear it, the game max applies again.

Is this the same as free spins wagering?

No. Free spins wagering is the lock on what the spins win. The max bet is a stake cap while any bonus lock is on. Both can sit in the same terms.

Is max bet the same as max win?

No. Max bet is how large one stake can be. Max win is a ceiling on how much of the bonus pile you can keep. Breaking the stake cap can still void the pile even if you never hit a max-win number.

What if I went over by accident?

The clause does not care that autoplay did it. Forfeit the bonus before you build a win on top of a dirty stake, or accept that a cashout review can quote that one round.

Does rakeback use a max bet cap?
